We have failed her on so many counts, and amidst her desperate pleas for cooperation, we have reciporcated with indifference and ruckus cheer. for the life of her, she gave her best, for she saw that as her duty to offer us as her students under her wing, but we refused. we instead showed contempt and impatience. but in her eyes i saw such pride in her profession. she gave her best, but have we even tried? tried to be obedient? i do not think so. she endured the headaches, most silently, and breathed not a word about it while we were ignorantly wild.
acing bio shall no longer b just for personal gratification. it is what we can do to honour this teacher, who leaves the classroom prematurely.
i pray for her recovery.
thank you 'cher for all that you've done for us.
It will become a refrence point for us: where and what were you doing when when you learnt that king of pop Michael Jackson died?
Well, i was out hiking, of course.
But before the story, i would like to embrace the concept of MJ. Besides the fanfare and child molestation cases, MJ was unquetionable about his musical accomplishments. to me he is cetainly more than just a white freak. i know that his image has been largely tarnished due to many compelling factors, and as he went on to middle age, he started to become more ideosyncric like a never-grow-up child-man. but his life was a whirlwind. so high yet so low. how many will actually walk his shoes? who can fully comprehend his struggles and his unique condition from where he comes from? i do not profess i do. i do not need to either. i just know that he has led a most unordinary life, touching the hearts of millions. he is a legend, no need to explain that. and also so intricately and closely woven into our culture that even the layman is not untouched. his music has touched lives and briged races. so beyond and besides the controvercies, he dies a legend, leaving us grateful for his music.

My day began at 4, where i woke up before the alarm rang as i had a stomach ache. i couldent go back to sleep. so i went to bathe. i left the house at 5:39 am and headed to calise hse. then we started to prepare food. it was record breaking, i never spread so much butter in my life. but that was a pity, for the bread was wasted as there was too much food we brought along. :) calise prepared eggs and tuna and heated the potatoes, trying to bake them. very soon it was already 7:20 plus. late already. supposed to meet at 7:30. nvm, took all the food and chiong to tampines mrt where we met up with joe (who practised amaths earlied at mac) shangzhi and sihui. the train was sluggish. but fortunately trains do not overtake each other, thats for sure. meanwhile jerome jiahui darren paul yuquan and xuanhong met slightly later. we reached clementi and changed to 184. nice bus ride. alighted at bukit timah s.c. and made our way to the carpark. ok so that stretch was just to lead to the car park. another more vertically inclined stretch to lead to the summit. (what summit? it is just a hill, a small one at that.) sweated in the face most. always remember that gain in gpe= loss in KE= work done, + work done to carry potatoes koniyaku bread cake and water up. but it took quicker than expected. so at the summit while waiting we took a stroll and played cards.
and when they finally arrived, i was not surprised they were not surprised! lol. lit the candles and sang to the birthday. and then quietly ate the cake. after that we played dai2 where i was a noob. then ate even more, and played abit of truth or dare, or rather dare and dare to finish the food. so.. we decended at about 1 oclock. took the yellow route. literally full of ups and downs. near the bottom, we raced towards gravity, and braking against it is akin to burning your heels. drank water. bought water then realised that there was an available water cooler. always like that. haha.
so we went to the playdround while waiting for the rest who took a diff route. played crocadile.
and so when we finally left, it was about 2:30. the 8 of us wanted to watch transformers, while sihui joe and calise wanted play pool. so they took 67 back to safra( must have been a great bus ride..) while we took184 back to clementi then to bugis via train. ate longjohn then watched movie. and whats all this about megan fox. man! robots have balls too, you know!
seems like a complete day. took the train back. the train was problematic too. mabe they were planning to transform. or maybe someone just sauntered onto the tracks and started to walk towards paya lebar for whatever angstful reason.
after some waiting, they told us to alight, which we did. then we took 21 through geylang. this was quite unexpected. it was a longerbusride and the trains must have reviced their decision to transform, so we saw them moving again. hai..
reached tampines just before 9. ate at centuary. then as with all dinners, bitch about something. it was the we were badmouthing. i am sorry, but those were just extremely biased generalisations. but what can you say when extremely biased generalisations happen to be true 90 over% of the time... ha, i cant say... censored!
too late for pool le. so we went home. learnt that poor sihui had her phone stolen.
what an interesting day! words may never capture it fully, but it sure was fun in its own right. wish we could do stuff like this more often, but...
teo kb is right. now is the time to study more. therefore anyone who actually has a life is abnormal! argh! so i should get my act together.
thanks all for the great day!
How does one revive a dead blog? Or rather, how does one revive a dead man's blog? For a dead man tells no tales. But I am very much well and alive, thankyou very much. Watch this space. it has been a long time. :)
